What is Holiday Gear Hub?
Holiday Gear Hub is a local outdoor equipment hire service based in the Torbay. We make it easy for visitors to enjoy the outdoors by offering bike and paddleboard hire delivered directly to where you’re staying.
Our goal is to remove the hassle of bringing bulky equipment on holiday so you can enjoy the best of the Bay at your leisure.
What equipment can I hire?
Depending on availability, we have:
- Adult bikes
- Child bikes
- Child trailers
- Inflatable paddleboards
- Board game bundles for those rainy days
- Extras included like waterproof kit and phone bags
All equipment is supplied with the essential safety equipment and accessories needed to get started and get the most out of your day.
Where do you operate?
We currently operate across Torbay, including:
- Torquay
- Paignton
- Brixham
We drop off to holiday parks, caravan sites, hotels, and self-catering accommodation. If you’re staying slightly outside these areas, feel free to get in touch and we’ll let you know if we can help.
Do you deliver the equipment?
Yes. We deliver equipment directly to your accommodation. Normal delivery and collection is between 5-7pm.
How do I book?
Booking is simple:
- Choose your equipment
- Select your hire dates and tell us where you are
- Pay securely online
- We’ll deliver the equipment!
How long can I hire the equipment for?
We offer flexible and discounted hire periods from 1 to 5 days. The longer you hire for the more discount you get.
Is a deposit required?
Yes, the deposit and hire is paid upfront at the time of booking. And refunded as soon as the kit is returned and checked that it is in good working order.
What happens if the weather is bad?
You get wet!
Only joking. We understand that weather can change, especially by the coast. If conditions aren’t suitable:
- We’ll do our best to offer rescheduling according to availability.
- In some cases, a refund or partial refund may be available

What if the equipment gets damaged?
Normal wear and tear is expected.
If equipment is damaged or lost due to misuse or negligence, you may be charged for repair or replacement costs. Full details are outlined in our hire terms, which you’ll see during booking.
Do you work with hotels, holiday parks, and Airbnb hosts?
Yes. We regularly work with:
- Holiday parks
- Hotels
- Guest houses
- Airbnb and holiday-let hosts
